My class has a relatively equal number of boys and girls. They are mostly from middle class homes where both parents work. They are eager to learn and love hands-on challenges. There are some students with behavior and attention problems which will benefit greatly from the hands on activities. Students this age need to practice working with others so they will be able to collaborate with others in the future global market.

My Project
These materials will enable my students to practice critical thinking skills in a collaborative setting. The Hot Dot materials will allow my students to practice skills individually with a self checking device. This will keep students from learning things incorrectly. The STEM activities will help develop critical thinking skills and start to develop skills students will need in the future.
These items will make learning more engaging and fun for my students.
They will have the opportunity to use hands-on materials to further their learning. Students will be able to work with other students and share learning with their peers.
