My Students

Our school is a positive place to learn and grow. We support student learning by creating strong relationships in our classroom and promoting a positive learning environment. This type of environment is crucial to creating an environment that fosters learning.

Kindergarten students are eager to learn and curious about the world around them.

They love hands-on activities, singing songs, and learning through play. We have a full day Kindergarten that includes a strong academic base with lots of opportunities to learn and explore through play-based learning.

My Project

Many of the lessons taught in Kindergarten are whole group style on the carpet together. This whole group area is a focal point of the room where we all meet together to learn and share.

Having a carpet where everyone knows and can easily find their spot is a must.

There will be no lost time fighting over the same area and everyone has their own personal space. Also, during lessons we do a lot of sharing and thinking with our "buddies." Having everyone in their "spot" makes this easy to manage. It's a win-win for both myself and the students!
