My Project

My kindergarteners are just the sweetest, little sponges soaking up so much incredible content throughout their school day. A huge part of their learning is not always done at their tables and seats, though. Five year olds love to (and need to) have various learning spots available, and a huge one is our floor. Our class often comes to the floor to have circle time, story time, and more. However, without a classroom rug with appropriate learning spots, it can be tricky for my youngest learners to focus and attend to the content at hand without a dedicated spot to sit (and keep arms, legs, and other body parts to themselves). Classroom rugs are a huge classroom management tool but more importantly they help my learners to contain their little, wiggly bodies within an appropriate space, such as a classroom rug with student squares.
