My students are at risk of failing to meet the State's academic achievement standards. We are grant-funded based on the number of economically disadvantaged students.
My students come to me without some of their basic needs met.
It is my job to fill in the developmental gaps and ensure kindergarten readiness. I serve at a Title I school.
I serve 20 children, all of whom receive free lunch. I have students with individual education plans and several kids with speech concerns.
My students need supplies every year. Folders to help organize their papers and homework to send home. The computer mouse will aid them in performing in the software that goes with our curriculum. We will use the ink for a variety of things like printing out their names for name recognition, printing out homework and newsletter to keep parents involved.
The awards will be used at the end of the year to show recognition for all the work they have accomplished this year.
We use the chart paper for making learning charts like, "How to Calm Down " and "How to Be a Good Friend". We use the lamination sheet to make learning materials like learning mats for reading sight words, flash cards, labels for the room. The tubs will be used to organize our centers and give student easy access to materials.
