This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are from low income families who really need your help! My school proudly has a B grade in K-3 literacy! I hope to keep their minds growing with help from donors to get what my classroom needs. Our classroom is made up of whole group instruction, small group instruction, and individual instruction.
My students' favorite type of instruction is within small groups during centers.
More resources to use during small groups would greatly benefit my classroom. Your help is very much appreciated!
My Project
I think a Cricut in the classroom would boost my students creativity! They would have so much fun designing vocabulary words to print out and stick around the room! They could use the chalkboard vinyl to practice writing their sight words or vocabulary words!
I also think It would go well with designing fundraising projects when working on STEM Project Based Learning!
Students could design decals in support of things like the animal shelter that they usually raise money for. It would help with designing posters to hand up to support their presentations of their learning. I am very excited for all the possibilities of creativity this Cricut could bring for my students! This is something the students may not have the means to use anywhere else.
