Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are incredible individuals with Autism and other developmental disabilities. They work extremely hard to develop academic, independent living, and career skills.

Our students are from impoverished neighborhoods in the New York City urban area and don't have the same privileges available as many other school-aged students do.

Please support our classroom, so we can help develop our students' transition skills. Transition skills are the skills they need to develop in order to live as independently as possible after graduation.

My Project

Our students are incredible learners who benefit from real-time experience via work-based learning. We do our best to infuse our academics with soft-skills in order to provide real supports and knowledge our students can use once they leave our program.

Providing our students access to these materials will help them in developing skills that they will be able to use for the rest of their lives.

We are asking for vinyl sheets, vinyl iron-on sheets, masking tape, a masking tape holder, a paper cutter, and chipboard so our students could make various items with their "Cricut" and sell them in their work-based learning enterprise.
