My Students

I work in a small, rural school in Illinois. We are a Title I school located in a low-income area, with over 50% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. Our students are eager to learn despite their economic situations.

This year I have 16 wonderful students who love to learn.

As with all classes, I have a variety of learning styles and abilities in my room. It has been a joy watching them make breakthroughs in their education. Our class is small in size but big in personality.

My Project

I was hesitant to ask for this item; however, after reading over all the ways a Cricut can be used in a classroom, I’m convinced this is a great item for any class! Some of the ways I plan to use this is, bulletin boards, motivational signs, student T-shirts for group outings, field day, and more!

By using the Cricut, students will create items for their book reports and research projects.

Students will be able to incorporate art and graphic design into their learning, and the technology aspect of this machine will keep students excited, focused, engaged, and encourage innovation.
