My Students

Our classroom is a full-day tuition-free preschool. The children in my classroom are high-risk students who come from low-income families. My school is a Title I school and every child receives a free lunch. I am passionate about working with young children and with your support, we can ensure that my students have the learning resources needed to reach their educational goals.

Would you consider being our classroom hero?

My students have a wide range of needs in the areas of social-emotional skills, communication, and academics. Despite what obstacles and hardships the children face outside of school, they come to the classroom every day ready to learn. My students inspire me to be the best teacher that I can be. I will continue to advocate for my students in order to ensure that they receive a quality education.

My Project

In my classroom, keeping sixteen young children engaged in learning is not always easy when resources are limited. In my classroom, we are not allowed to use worksheets and all learning materials must be hands-on activities. As one could imagine, cutting out materials for an entire class is extremely time-consuming. Our Cricut machine not only greatly reduces the time needed for cutting materials, but helps us in all areas of our classroom. In preschool, everything needs to be labeled for the children. Labeling the classroom helps children pick up early reading skills by using the environmental print. This machine will help me label everything in the classroom using a unique and unified system.

My students would use the CriCut heat vinyl to design their own tote bag where they will store their reading books and math materials, and I would use the Cricut vinyl to transform our classroom into a print-friendly classroom with beautifully designed bulletin boards and learning materials.

This Cricut vinyl will help my students become more creative and potentially think about a career in graphic design as they continue their educational careers.
