Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our campus is an academic school where education is greatly revered and creativity absolutely explodes! With Enrichment Clusters and our Gifted and Talented classrooms, the scholars are always searching for ways to exercise their intellect, improve creative drawing skills and take their learning to zenith levels.
Imagine a classroom where learning is unencumbered by limited outside resource availability that is coupled with students who are eager to learn and excited to explore!
That's the environment I want to create with this donation. In our community, my students come to me from very diverse economic backgrounds and experiences. My goal is to provide each one of my students with multiple learning opportunities, an optimal learning environment, and to create skills that will enable the creation of life-long learners.
My Project
Our students have enrichment clusters once a week to enhance their creativity. Students in second grade through fifth grade explore various tasks to ignite their passion learning.
The Cricut would facilitate their exploration into a host of STEM content topics within the scope of the gifted and enrichment programs.
By providing our students with a Cricut machine and supplies we open endless possibilities for creativity and entrepreneurship. Our enrichment clusters enable the students to have ownership of their product or services they develop during cluster class. Our intention is to guide students to pursue their passions outside a school setting.
