My Students

As a teacher, I work hard to teach acceptance of all students whether that is related to ethnic diversity, social status, or even academic diversity. My students are unique because they are always working on having a growth mindset and being open to new and different things. I am always working towards making the best out of what I have available.

All students can learn, and it is my responsibility to create the best environment for each of them individually to allow growth to happen.

I have worked hard to create a welcoming, supportive, and celebratory atmosphere to help all students achieve their personal goals and feel good about their accomplishments. In language arts, there are many opportunities for us to read, write, discuss, and think about various topics.

My Project

Please help my classroom get a Cricut Easy Press so they can tap into their creativity. We were gifted a Cricut Explorer and would love to utilize it to make class t-shirts, winter gloves, and other supplies. A Cricut Easy Press will expedite the process and allow us to continue working on multiple projects. Our classroom shirt design expresses our desire to be unique individuals and show inclusion of everyone in our classroom.

"Creativity is contagious, pass it on," quoted by Albert Einstein is a quote we live by in our classroom.

The Cricut and Teacher Pay Teachers items will help tap into multiple aspects of their creativity.

The Teachers Pay Teachers breakout boxes and STEM challenges will help promote diverse thinking and inclusion of all individuals in our classroom. One resource is the Who Was? Biography activities. A diverse collection of biographies open windows to many lives and are a mirror for students' challenges and hopes will be accompanied by these activities. Some that will be purchased are Digital Breakout Bundle: 75 Breakouts! and Cracking the Classroom Code™ 3rd Grade Math Bundle. Another one I am excited to buy is Reach for the Stars Digital Breakout Place Value Comparing Rounding Escape Room; this escape room will tie in my science solar system unit along with rounding in math.

Moreover, the Scholastic Holiday Book Coupons will give every student the change to order a new book to explore diversity and individuality.
