Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 8th grade science and STEM at a rural Title I school. Many of our students lack internet access or do not have the supports they need to complete work at home. My main goal is to ensure the students still feel cared for and connected!

My Project

My students are 8th graders who are moving to high school in just a few short weeks. Although it is not their high school graduation, these students have worked hard and they will miss out on their promotion ceremony this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

I would like to have the Cricut Joy to make some special cards to send to our students.

The machine will be useful for many distance learning activities and will help us keep in touch. There are lots of examples of future projects, such as "Where is my teacher?"

After distance learning is over, the crafty machine will continue to be useful in our classroom. Bulletin boards and STEM projects are just some of the many projects I can envision.
