Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a Title I school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide a bridge in the learning at school and the learning at home.
My students are creative, kind, and very enthusiastic about learning.
They love to have fun while they learn and they learn best with activities that spark their interest. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their individual needs and growth. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
Classroom transformations are fun, magical, and so engaging for all students. I cannot wait to create a space adventure right in our classroom! I am requesting insect books, exploration tools, and decorations to transform our classroom into an insect habitat.
We need insect books, decor, and hands on activities to make our insect unit come to life.
My students need experiences to help make real life connections and I think transforming our classroom is a great way to help students connect their learning to real life experiences.
We will incorporate many kindergarten standards into our fun, students won't even know they are learning! Our day will consist of researching different insects and habitats all while learning new vocabulary and participating in hands-on activities.
