The future of the world is in my classroom today. One of the reasons I love teaching is that I get the chance to work with and influence the future leaders of our world. Every single day, I make it a point to remind my kids that they are leaders, champions, and world changers. I want my kids to know they are special, loved, and valued.
Currently, I have a group of twenty-three eight- and nine-year-olds.
They are energetic, enthusiastic, and full of life! My classroom is very diverse with a wide range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. My students love learning, playing, and learning while playing.
Character education is a vital part of schools today, but getting students excited about character education can be really challenging!
My students will use the Cricut and Cricut Easy Press to create shirts that display our school's six pillars of character!
Students will research their favorite character trait and create a sketch they would like a create for a t-shirt. Students will then use the Cricut software to recreate their design for the shirts. Students will be able to choose their vinyl color to place on their shirts. These t-shirts will be a great way for my students to share conversations with classmates that teach character education!
