My classroom is a group of enthusiastic 2nd graders. We love to study literacy, math, science, and social studies. Having created a safe classroom community throughout the school year, we are a community of young people who take risks to learn! We encourage each other through collaborative learning through all subjects.
Our classroom is home to 21 second graders, most of whom come from bilingual and immigrant households.
In an underfunded school district, we would greatly appreciate resources to continue our learning!
In our classroom, we love to build, explore, invent, and create. My students collaborate to complete our monthly STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) challenges. Through these monthly challenges, my students create work with their peers to invent solutions to these challenges. Through your generosity, I hope to provide my students with a daily opportunity to engage in these essential life skills promoted through STEM.
These STEM bins will provide my students the daily opportunity to explore, imagine, invent, and create as engineers.
Each bin contains different materials that students will use to build structures and engage in problem-solving creation such as dominoes, Snap Cubes, magnetic blocks, play-doh, and so much more! Students will use the materials in these bins as well as the task cards provided to create and invent solutions to real-world problems.
We are so thankful for your support in our creative engineering pursuits!
