We are creating a STEM Lab for our 5th and 6th grade students. Our school is an upper elementary school, and all students will take part in this lab. Some students are on IEP's, some are ELL's, and some students will come from our learning center classrooms, as well as the regular education setting. Students will take part in the STEM Lab twice per week. Students will create, collaborate, think critically and communicate while participating in the lab. I want all students to look forward to coming into the STEM Lab and to view having class here as something they look forward to every week.
My Project
On the wall of our STEM Lab, we will be putting up a Creativity to a Tee display. Students can use colored golf tees and insert them into the pegboard to sum up their learning for the day, plan out a blueprint for their next project, or just let their creativity flow.
The wall display will be a focal point for our STEM Lab.
The creativity to a tee area will create a different environment and feeling then students have in their regular classrooms. I want this interactive display to be something students look forward to every week as they come to the lab.
