Creativity Through Writing, Numbers, Direction, Human Body, & Animal Body!
Help me give my students knowledge of writing their letters and numbers, their counting skills, their direction and positioning skills, knowledge of the human body and the animal body & and how to care for it!!
We are Head Start school, working on closing the achievement gap. We are a community of Pre-K children wanting to learn despite the obstacles we face every day.
Our families come from various cultures and backgrounds.
They speak different languages, as well. The children develop differently and reach developmental milestones at various stages. We have sets of siblings in our classrooms, which makes learning interesting. No child should be left behind. Team work makes the dream work! This is our school family.
My Project
All of my students want to learn to write their letters and numbers, learn about the human body and the animal body, and knowing about directions on how to get somewhere in a fun way! My students are very curious about checking their hearts, blood pressure, looking at X-Rays, giving shots for medicine. My students also do this for all the animals we have in the room. My classroom needs help with their writing skills in both numbers and letters and they are tired of writing on paper or the white board, they would like other materials.
If I can show my students that learning can be fun with these activities and materials, my students will thrive and be very successful!
The boys in my room love playing with the cars and have them go some place. They are always talking about if I go this way I can get to the store faster! My students come from low economic backgrounds and do not have access to many or any of these materials. My students are very interested in all these areas and these materials present learning in a fun creative way!
First and foremost, it is my job to get my students ready for kindergarten the best way that I can and with these materials I will be able to with no problems!
