Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are part of a Pre-K Head Start program of which 99% are economically disadvantaged. Our school is a Title I school and gets free meals for every student. This does not stop my students from having fun and learning everyday. My students love to learn with hands on materials and lessons. They know they are valued and cared for when they come to school. They know that their class is their safe place and their teacher is their friend and supporter.
My Project
Art materials will help my little learners with their development of skills thru fine motor and self-expression.
My pre-k students have a great and wild imagination.
It would be beneficial in their learning to be able to express themselves through art. Expression through art will also help my students develop fine motor and social skills. Fine motor development is very important for small children. Our students will learn how to express themselves through art, punch-out different shapes with their hands, paint different abstract pictures, and use clay in fine motor building while building alphabetic knowledge.
We will proudly display our students work around our room and in the hallway using the laminating pouches.
