My class consists of amazing, inquisitive PreK students who are eager and enthusiastic about learning!
They have a lot of curiosity and are in need of hands-on STEAM materials (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) to explore and promote imagination and creativity!
In my PreK class, we stress the importance of "teamwork" as we learn to help each other and work together toward success. STEAM activities such as art are essential in developing their imaginative thinking, an important component of future real-world success!
My Project
With these materials, our PreK students will have a variety of creative options to choose from in our writing and art center to stimulate their maginative thinking! This enhances language development and attention span as well as fine motor skills.
Students will self-select their art materials to independently create a design of their own, and teachers will facilitate the use of the materials to promote each stuent's pride in their unique creation.
The process students undergo in exploring the art and craft materials and developing and describing their artistic works is emphasized in our classroom.
