My students need items such as markers, construction paper, crayons, pencils and pencil sharpeners for a chance to express themselves through their creativity rather than words. With all of the art supplies in my project this will help to be successful!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
For teachers, working in a title 1 school is one of the most rewarding and heart wrenching jobs. My students are faced with many challenges, both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges that they are faced with, my students enter the classroom with a smile on their face, eager to learn new material. I am constantly looking for new ways to keep my students engaged to make sure they are given what they need to be successful in learning.
Our classroom runs as one big family.
My students are constantly going the extra mile for myself and their classmates. They know how to comfort each other when the days are dark and how to celebrate the bright and sunny days. My students deserve the best that there is and I am hoping that with your help, they can be given that!
My Project
Our new classroom art supplies will be used for every subject to better help each of my students express their thoughts and feelings in an alternative way! It will also be used for social events in the classroom that help them to socialize with other students. Many of my students come from situations where school supplies, specifically art supplies, are not affordable. Giving low-income students access to art supplies, such as markers, construction paper, crayons, pencils and pencil sharpeners, will help then express themselves in writing or drawing. With my students coming from unsafe or low income neighborhoods, sports material such as basketballs and a pump will help me provide my students with a safe environment to express themselves with sports and help spark their creativity and engage them in learning.
My students success is the most important thing to me!
Giving my students the correct supplies for art and sports will teach them things such as creativity, sportsmanship, and teamwork - which are things that they may not learn otherwise. My students deserve the world and with your help, I may be able to give them a little piece of it!
