My students are wonderfully creative and imaginative thinkers. They amaze me with their innovative ideas and creativity! They are energetic and eager to learn!
My students love to learn from one another and they are very collaborative, cooperative learners.
We participate in many small group learning activities, and they are always respectful and thoughtful toward one another. We have a very diverse classroom, which makes our learning community even more special. These students are smart, motivated to learn, and passionate second graders!
My Project
Second grade students LOVE art projects! It is so fun to plan art projects that help students express their own creativity and uniqueness. What is even better is the ability to integrate the arts into core subject areas like math, reading, writing, science, and social studies.
We are requesting markers, colored sharpies, oil pastels, and colored pencils to better support the art instruction in our classroom.
These materials are not always available to us, and it would have a lasting impact on the art projects in our classroom. My students treat their art supplies like GOLD, so these would last several years!
