My students are wonderfully creative and imaginative thinkers. They amaze me with their innovative ideas and creativity! They are energetic and eager to learn!
My students love to learn from one another and they are very collaborative, cooperative learners.
We participate in many small group learning activities, and they are always respectful and thoughtful toward one another. We have a very diverse classroom, which makes our learning community even more special. These students are smart, motivated to learn, and passionate third graders!
My Project
My students LOVE to get creative and build things! The problem is I do not have many materials for them to utilize. I am requesting magnetic building blocks, classic Legos, and round connecting blocks for students to build with during choice time.
After a long day of learning, I like to end our school day by giving students creative choice.
Students who are caught up with all of their assignments are encouraged to get creative and build things! Right now, students are using our math tools and manipulatives to design and build things that their creative minds come up with. They create patterns and designs, construct buildings and structures, and they do it in collaboration with their peers. It is awesome to watch!
I would love to enhance this opportunity by giving students different materials to choose from. I will challenge them to defend their choice in materials. A simple choice activity can become a teachable moment with the right materials. That's where you come in! Thank you for considering our class project!
