Creativity Is Intelligence Having Fun! Bobcats STEAM Ahead!
My students need opportunities to apply the STEM concepts to real world experiences and OF COURSE to literature. I am so excited to add the Folk Tales Problem Solving STEM kits to the library!
Our school is located in a beautiful rural area in northeast Florida and is a neighborhood school. Our library doors open at eight in the morning with students bounding through the door excited for the day.

What brings all of my library friends together as one, is their love of learning, reading, and exploring their world!
As the doors close at three each day, I know that my students have had the chance to expand their world by visiting our library, checking out a book, using a piece of technology, or getting a question answered and learning something new!
My Project
My students need the opportunity to explore and be creative on a daily basis and these STEM kits will be set up and utilized within our media center so that every Bobcat will benefit from these purchases. These kits will combine real world scenarios, as well as classic folk tale problems for the students to solve using STEM concepts.
I am excited to see the students make the connection between books, real world scenarios and STEM concepts.
As we grow our STEAM and MakerSpace area in our library, we will continue to add kits that connect literature and STEM for the benefit of our children. I am excited to see the students make the connection between books, real world scenarios and STEM concepts!
