I need a Course in Creativity & Innovation. We will consider individual learning styles, define our purpose, experiment, collaborate, empower and refine to create a meaningful learning space.
My students are eager, self-driven kids who give it their all, every day.
Nearly 80% of my students come from low-income, newcomer families.
Our students live in small one-room apartments where having their own library at home is not possible. Books are hard to access, and we want to have good materials and teaching accessible for our students. Our students need a chance to have fair access to quality instruction so that they can achieve beyond what their parents work so hard for. Our students are their families' hopes and dreams.
My Project
This PD, Think Differently: A Crash Course in Creativity & Innovation, comes at the most perfect time; where teachers can be inspired, students have the space to be creative and go above and beyond. As a Literacy Coach and a Literacy Specialist at my school, I wear many hats. Help the students who need support and coach our wonderful colleagues to make our school a creative and innovative place to learn and problem solve. Armed with techniques from world-class marketing firms and their strategies, we can train our school of 700+ students and 34 teachers to inspire and implement meaningful discourse in lesson planning and curriculum building, while considering individual learning styles. What an amazing change this PD will have on the way we look at teaching!
