Creativity In Kindergarten
My students need flip charts, markers, and ceramics for additional experiences with art and music.
These days, children do not get much exposure to nursery rhymes and art experiences such as working with clay.
I would like my students to get as much exposure to the arts as possible.
Since we do not have a budget for art materials, everything we purchase has to be donated or paid for by the teacher. Learning nursery rhymes in kindergarten is fundamental to early reading experiences. These experiences in literacy can be extended in the arts with the proper funding.
I would like to purchase a vividly colored large chart filled with popular nursery rhymes that will inspire my students to play with language and learn how to rhyme. This is important for early literacy. I would like to extend their learning with creative projects with ceramics, a medium that many have not used, except in the form of playdough.
Inspiring creativity is a beautiful thing.
Being able to use resources that otherwise would not be able to be used without donations, is priceless. I want their kindergarten year to be full of new experiences that set the stage for motivation in learning throughout their school years.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
