Help me give my students foam shapes, craft tape, ink pads, and envelopes they need to show their creativity while exploring written language, engineering, and art!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I will be going back into the classroom this year! I am so excited to be teaching kindergarten! Many of our students are beginning school for the first time. It is important to give them opportunities to learn through purposeful play. This fosters a life long love of learning.
My students are young, energetic, and ready to learn.
I believe that all children are born learners and learn best through play and exploration.
I would love to set up a "maker station" to encourage my students to explore writing, STEM, and art.
My Project
These crafting materials, along with recyclables, and basic school supplies will allow my students to explore their creativity. When children have the opportunity to work on open-ended tasks it is amazing what they come up with. Children can use tape and pipe cleaners to build structures. Hole punches, scissors, stamps, and envelopes make personalized stationary. Making new things sparks conversation which leads to developing language both spoken and written.
They will use these materials to write, create, design, and build a million different things!
The sky is the limit when you give children the tools they need to show off their ingenuity.
