Help me give my students materials to expand their creativity for creating words, developing letter knowledge, and having a comfortable spot to read books.
After a year of uncertainity with a mix of remote and in-class learning, my unique and diverse kindergarten students are ready to grow and learn through the use of hands-on materials in the classroom. My students are resilient, kind, and eager to develop their reading skills through a variety of materials.
My Project
Each day is an opportunity to spark creativity and imagination for learning to make letter sounds, blend letters and make words. My eager, curious kindergarteners learn best with hands-on materials such as magic boards, magnetic letters, alphabet stamps, mosaic squares, dot painters and construction paper. When materials that match their needs are available students are engaged in learning. The sparks that fly when students are able to learn letters and create words make the classroom a fun, exciting place to be. When students are able to create words, they continue on their journey from learning to read to becoming a reader! My kind, creative kinders will love more ways to learn to make words.
