My students come to this school because they need a flexible environment that allows them to be themselves but still find success in a small setting. They are driven to push forward to their next stage in life, often by accelerating their high school experience.
These students love to express themselves through any creative outlet they can but until now have had little opportunity to do so.
Our newest course gives them this opportunity, and they are making amazing work.
My Project
We have an amazing Art Fundamentals curriculum that furthers the understanding of art concepts and the exercise of creativity and individual expression. However, because our school specializes in independent learning, our students frequently study art with guidance from teachers but complete related projects at home on their own.
To create these projects, the students need materials we do not have and they cannot afford.
Without necessary art supplies, students aren't able to fully take advantage of the curriculum. Students will be enabled to explore and create freely if we can provide them with art materials to check out and use at home.
