My Students
I have a class of curious, energentic students that love to be able to explore and learn. I found that they come up with the best ideas when given the chance to explore and play with materials that spark curiosity. We live in rural farm country and most of my students don't get the chance to explore outside their community.
50% of my students come from economically disadvantaged families.
I have students who were homeless up until this year and others still struggling with drugs and alcohol in their families. I work very hard to create an environment that is safe, warm and caring for them to come to every day.
These students are not just my students, they are my children and I care very much about them and their education. Each and everyone of them deserves the very best.
My Project
These 6-Cubby Storage Units will give my students the ability to be able to get the materials they need to be creative and explore. This will develop self help skills in my students.
My goal is to provide opportunities for the children to take more control of their learning through play and exploration.
Through directed self discovery I will be able to introduce lessons that the children are excited to learn about.
The colored masking tape are additional resources the children will be able to use to enhance their creativity through play. Play is an integral part of early development.
