Creativity and Critical Thinking Through STEM (Engineering)!
Help me give my students learning materials that will spark their imaginative brains and encourage complex thinking through STEM. I have students that really LOVE to engineer and learn through hands-on learning.
This group of students is amazing! They are full of energy and have a great zest for learning. My school has many low-income students that need a little extra support to help to make the difference for that socioeconomic hindrance to their learning. My class is full of a variety of learners that require extra accommodations and support for their learning, and many are classified with learning disabilities.
Although, there are many students that struggle and need differentiation and accommodations for learning, I believe that with the right materials and engaging lessons these students can really prosper and grow!
I love seeing these amazing kids grow throughout the year. When you give a child what they need to learn, you can really watch them soar! I love my job!!
My Project
The materials will give my students hands on materials to support their critical thinking and learning through STEM, specifically engineering. I have a variety of learners that NEED this type of learning and these manipulatives to support them through their journey. I chose Legos, K'nex, and Magnet STEM building materials to encourage this type of thinking, and stretch their learning as far as I can.
When students are given these extra materials they can really soar, and their imaginations can transfer all of their learning experiences into growth and success for our future.
Watching my students experience fun-filled learning is my favorite thing!
