This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our 2nd Graders are some of the most amazing kids you'll ever meet! They come from many diverse backgrounds and are a proud reflection of the economic, linguistic, and racial diversity of Baltimore. We work together everyday to ensure that all children have the opportunity to attain an excellent education, explore their passions, and develop their social/emotional skillset so they are ready to take on the world.

Our students are scholars, artists, and scientists who are going to change the world.

They are creative, fun, and always so full of questions. This wonderful group of learners cherish every new experience and greet the day ready with an open mind and an open heart

My Project

Please help me give our 2nd graders critical learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students were not able to leave their homes due to the quarantine in Baltimore to participate in our annual Field Trip.

Their teachers have a variety of hands-on learning materials to supplement the loss of traditional classroom instruction.

Our student kits contain Summer Bridge Activities to complete in preparation for the 3rd Grade. These kits also contain hands-on STEM learning materials that make learning exciting! We've also included mini mindfulness journals to help students process their complicated feelings during this time.

These materials will be put directly into the hands of our students!
