Help me give my students fun, engaging math centers that will help them continue to develop fine motor skills, spark new interests and allow them to work as a team!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
From the first day of school, I knew this was going to be a great class. My students are so kind, creative, inventive, and eager to learn new things. They are all unique learners, and learn differently. One thing I have noticed they all love is when we do math centers. This center time allows them to socialize, collaborate, and build with their classmates.
Our school is not large, but 100% of our students are eligible for free or reduced-rate lunch.
All of our students come from various backgrounds and early childhood experiences. All of them, are deserving of a high quality, engaging, and fun education that meets their unique needs as little learners!
My Project
My students deserve access to fun, engaging, interactive math centers. These materials will be used during our math center time. I have learned that my students learn best when they are given the opportunity to be in charge of their own learning. Having access to more choices in centers will allow them to really explore their interests and choose activities that they are interested in every day. I have learned from pulling back and being an observer during this time of day that they are creative, critical thinkers who enjoy kinesthetic learning and collaborating on projects with their classmates. These centers will allow students of all abilities and all types of learners to learn and explore the way that works best for them.
