Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students I serve are bilingual, bi-literate, motivated individuals. With an eagerness to learn and explore, the students I teach are ready to take on new challenges and projects to enhance their learning career. These students need a print rich environments that supports their learning. In addition, my students are asked to create projects during their winter and spring breaks that help them have hands on experiences with their family.

This project base learning develops their social and developmental skills.

My Project

Students will also develop their effectiveness to communicate with one another as they pair up in the writing center. Peer editing helps students to learn the writing process while collaborating with their peers, a skill they will need into adulthood.

Students will be able to create writing samples as they continue learning and developing their writing skills through out the year.

A rug is used for whole group instruction of a lesson and to develop skills such as shared writing. The center, furniture piece, will be used to organize their supplies and have an actual writing area to develop their skills.

Through discussion and peer sharing, students will read and help each other with their writing skills.
