Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are English language learners in third grade. Most of my students are working below-grade-level and struggle with reading and writing.
Our school is a Title I school, and the majority of students qualify for free lunch.
My students come from a high poverty neighborhood with a very diverse range of home structures. My students are enthusiastic learners, eager to learn, but some of them do not have the necessary writing skills to create good writing pieces.
My Project
Writing is an essential skill that my students need to learn. With your donations, I will get the materials that will help my third graders in their writing process.
The Grammar Tales Set will help me cover everything from using apostrophes and creating descriptive sentences to writing a plot-driven story. The writing activity center and writing activity books will help them practice their writing skills. These materials will help my students move through the writing process with greater ease.
My third grade students have creative minds and just need extra assistance to get into writing.
