Creative Ways to Show Learning
My students need a calculator, an iPad to record videos, make songs, and use for tutorials, and a bag for our new technology to keep it safe and together.
My students are great individuals who show me what our future could become. The majority of them come from very diverse backgrounds. Even though a lot of them were affected by Hurricane Harvey, they still find a way to remain positive and help others going through their same situation or worse.
A lot of my students have many challenges outside of school and still come to class ready to be challenged.
They work hard and deserve the best that this world has to offer.
I am trying to create alternate ways for my students to show their learning. Besides just retaking a test my students will be able to make songs, tutorial videos, and art.
Geometry can be expressed in different ways and my students will have the opportunity to show their knowledge.
I am asking for the iPad for another resource for my students to show their creativity, by making songs with Garage Band or using the camera to make tutorial videos. They can also use the tablet to help with classwork by going to our class website and looking at other videos created. The backpack will store the device I have for the alternative projects. I would like to a bag to keep all of my technology in one place so I can make sure it's taken care of and available to my students. The calculator will also be very useful for one on one tutorials.
