Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school saying is, "Better today than yesterday! Better tomorrow than today!" I want to make their tomorrow better!
My class consists of a diverse group of learners.
My class has 26 second grade students of varying abilities. The socio-economic background of our students is reflected by our 97% free and reduced-price lunch rate.
I teach in an urban inner city school rich with diversity. Most of my students need additional learning materials to meet grade level expectations. Please help me to make tomorrow better for them!
My Project
My second graders have amazing imaginations! I'd love to be able to offer them the Crayola Ultimate 152 Crayon Collection, Crayola Twistables Colored Pencils, Sargent Art 36 Count Pink Erasers and Georgia Pacific Multipurpose Copy Paper to publish stories at our Writing Center.
Having exciting writing and publishing materials would excite my learns to WRITE!
My students would love to have a School Smart Electric Pencil Sharpener, an EX 25 Automatic Heavy Duty Stapler, and an SP Richards Company Electric Hole Punch to utilize at our Writing Center. We enjoy writing Personal Narratives, Opinion Pieces, Poetry, Realistic Fiction, Non Fiction and more throughout the school year! We'd love to be able to have these publishing materials available to create our writing pieces and have them to take home to share with our families.
We could really use Elmer's Glue Sticks to add a Pop Up effect into our published writing pieces. We really need Amazon Basics Pre-Sharpened Wood Cased HB Pencils to use while writing our stories from our beginning ideas stage right through to our publishing stage in the classroom.
This writing project will inspire my second graders to feel like real life authors during their writing center time in our classroom. I appreciate your help with donations to this project to inspire young writers to WRITE!
