Help me give my students new, differentiated, hands-on, learning tools with the OSMO Little Genius Kit and OSMO Super Studio Disney Mickey Mouse and Friends game.
First graders are fascinating to teach because they love to learn as is my challenge while working with seven year olds in 2020 with the range of learners in my classroom. We live in a rural, Title One school district, with a majority receiving free or reduced-price lunches. Some of the kids' most positive experiences are at school.
Students need appropriate tools to match their learning process or developmental growth.
Our classroom is already equipped with iPads and Osmo bases. I want to expand our Osmo library for more types of learners. Little Genius Osmo is designed for younger, striving learners. This game will spark imaginations, foster critical thinking skills, and kids will have a blast with these games. There is a wide range of learners in my class, including gifted students, students with physical and mental learning difficulties, and students receiving Speech and Languages services. Every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn mindfulness techniques that will help increase awareness and focus. It is important to try new ways for students to excel because every boy and girl is unique!
My Project
We know kids learn by doing, so each Osmo uses physical action. Whether it’s arranging tangrams, zooming number tiles around, or even freehand drawing, Osmo sees and reacts to every real-live move. My class has a variety of learners, including lower level learners. The Little Genius kit is for our youngest age group. Osmo enables the continuation of learning! Osmo is magic! Osmo provides learning games that interact with actual handheld pieces and an iPad, bringing a child's game pieces and actions to life. The Disney Art game will appeal to many learners that are interested in the arts and movement! These materials will be used in my regular classroom as genius hour choices, using the design thinking process.
