I teach in a small, rural school in Iowa. I absolutely love it! My students come to school each day eager to learn! They are full of questions and curiosity, and light up when they achieve a goal or learn something new. They are always so eager to grow.
Each student in my class loves learning, however the ways they learn best vary greatly.
I thoroughly enjoy seeing how their varied gifts and strengths come together in the classroom every day. Some of my students are have special needs in how they achieve learning to their best abilities.
My Project
The students in my classroom learn best when allowed to choose where they learn and work best for themselves. By creating a space that has options for them to work the way that best fits their individual needs, they are able to show their best every day. It allows for all learners to succeed alone and in group work.
My students show their best work and most engagement when they're allowed to choose their own learning space.
I want them to all feel comfortable and know of their capabilities. Flexible seating is the best way for them to accomplish this.
