My students are mostly underprivileged and lack the basic school supplies necessary to be successful in the classroom. To that extent, I have been providing ALL materials to ensure they reach their maximum potential. A lot of my students are in their last year of high school yet are uncertain as to what they will do when they graduate. I try to provide them many experiences outside of the classroom that can help point them in a direction to becoming a world citizen. I believe that experience is the mother of ALL teachers and experiencing something first-hand makes knowledge acquisition real.
My Project
These materials will make students feel more comfortable in their learning environment, thereby making them active learners. We all have that special space where we go to find peace of mind through reading, writing, or simply relaxing. I aspire to offer that ideal space here in my classroom, and these supplies will help do that.
When you think of that space, it should be warm and inviting.
The supplies requested will help to create a sanctuary where students can unlock the best of themselves. A flipped classroom is the new learning model. Help me model that learning by providing an exciting environment that engages students.
