My students need flexible seating options for collaborative learning & increased engagement. I am requesting bouncy balls, floor seats and a floor table to allow students to wiggle while they work and easily collaborate with peers.

My Students
I am so excited to be finishing up my second year of teaching! I have been so blessed at my current school, and am absolutely in love with every one of my students. They are what keep me going through the roughest days; surrounding me with so much love and encouragement.
I teach at a Title I school, where 100% of my students receive free or reduced price meals and majority come from poverty-stricken homes.
Many have had broken families and bad life experiences. However, that doesn't stop them from coming to school with a smile every day!
My class is also very diverse, consisting of students from all over the world, and of every religion! I am blessed to learn from a large population of Burmese children, many of whom have just recently entered the country. All of my students are some of the wisest people I know, I am thankful for what they teach about life and loving others.
My Project
My students need flexible seating options to increase their learning experiences! I will be using the floor table and floor seats in the back corner of my room, for students to easily work on independent projects or collaborative group work. I will be using the bouncy balls for students who need a little more movement in order to focus! These supplies will help my students be more engaged and create a positive classroom environment.
Many students are used to sitting in an upright desk all day, but I want to give my students more options to fit their needs.
These materials will be greatly appreciated by my students, especially in my classroom where we focus on student-centered learning. As a teacher, flexible seating options make my lessons run smoother, and the students are able to have a more authentic learning experience!
