My Students
I am currently a 5th Grade Science Teacher, who teaches 4 sets of students. My students range from Special Education, General Education, and Limited English students. I love the world of Science and the wonderment in my students faces and words when they question the world in how it works(which I encourage). They come to me with questions to try and stomp me which I turn into a class discussion. It gives me great joy when they ask if they can stay in my class all day.
My Project
I have been teaching at a Title I school for 18 years and I have seen the decline in educational support and materials such as construction paper, crayons, and etc. There have been many times my students, present and former came to me seeking help with class projects they have had for other teachers. I let them use the resources, for example if they have to do a project about a certain region displaying foods, clothing, and so on I print it for them. The Cricut will allow them to create colorful projects that they can be proud of. Also the Cricut will allow me to create charts that are visually appealing for my ESE and ESOL students.
