I teach an AM and PM at-risk classroom. I love teaching all of the students.
My classroom is full of energetic, creative, hard working preschoolers.
Many of my students come from low-income homes with single parents and multiple siblings. Therefore, they do not have access to educational materials, such as games and math manipulatives, outside of the classroom. We are focused on building our math and literacy skills to reach and/or excel grade level expectations. The students get excited with hands-on learning games so we are asking for these materials to help reach our goal.
My Project
Preschoolers need to create! With the Building bricks children can create anything their imaginations can dream up- from a simple cottage to an entire city with vehicles, skyscrapers, houses and more. This building set features a ton of easy-fitting plastic bricks and accessories.
Squishing, rolling, sculpting, molding...young children love to play with playdough.
Play dough is another important tool in the preschool room. Playdough play becomes a powerful way to support our students learning. It lets children use their imaginations and strengthen the small muscles in their fingers-same muscles they will one day use to hold a pencil and write.
