What do I love most about my students? I love the fact that as the new teacher in town they embraced me with hugs and smiles from day one. They quickly learned my name and greeted me in the hallway after I told them that being the new teacher was just like being the new kid, and that I needed some friends fast! They are in Kindergarten through the fifth grade in a small neighborhood school that has many military families in the community. They know what it is like to be that new kid as many have moved from school to school with their parents serving our country. These children are eager to learn and appreciate all I have to give. Please help me give them more!
I have chosen colorful and exciting math games and flashcards to motivate students to learn through creative play. Students can practice the skills needed to count money, or tell time through playing games with each other. In a Math Center Playground with several areas to choose to reinforce learning through play, students can choose to work with the pattern block cards or the math bingo centers. It is a colorful and motivating room that students can find the resource that helps them learn best. Help me to provide more exciting choices to my students so they will continue to be motivated to learn!
