My Students

My students are kindergarten age to 5th grade. Each grade level comes to art for 45 minutes once a week. Class size varies from 18-26 students per period for a total of 566 students. The students come to art excited to create something new! We learn techniques of drawing and painting, creative expression and artist studies.

Students are permitted to express themselves through art and creativity.

The arts give the opportunity to showcase students' talents, that may not otherwise be seen in the regular classroom setting.

My Project

My students need paper and markers to complete their creative drawings due to our extended school year. Due to weather, our school year has been extended into the end of June! My students love to express themselves through drawing and creating new ideas on paper. Visual art is important for creativity. Our supply is dwindling down and who doesn’t love new markers and a crisp sheet of white drawing paper?

Students will have the opportunity to draw from their own imaginations.

Drawing also allows students to become more observant to details and their surroundings. Drawing is something we can all do and have fun creating new things.
