Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are from low income families and they are eligible to participate with us due to this. They are exposed to situations beyond their years almost regularly and despite this they continue to do their best work when they come to school. They are inquisitive and excited to learn. They come to school every day with smiles on their faces and are always full of questions. They are a hardworking, loving, and show a desire to do their best all the time!

My Project

These learning toys will be useful for my students to be able to creatively build and continue developing their self-esteem. The Easy-Build Blocks and the Jumbo Log Builders will be placed in our Blocks Area to be used by the students during Choice Time. The Easy-Build Blocks will be used in our block area so they can easily create any structure of their choosing. The Jumbo Log Builders are easy to use as well, they allow the students to build a play house, and promote them to use their imaginations to their fullest extent. The Easy-Build Blocks and the Jumbo Log Builders easily fit together so they will help to develop their self-esteem because they will gain confidence in knowing they can achieve a goal independently or with friends.
