In my classroom, I teach 25 energetic, fun-loving, creative kindergarten students. Each student comes from a different socioeconomic background which results in each student learning in many different ways. Students come into school every day ready and eager to learn!
I want each student to feel successful in their learning and know that I believe in each one of them and that they can reach their fullest academic potential!
I teach at an urban, Title I school and want to provide the best and safest learning environment for my kindergarteners.
These various materials will allow me to differentiate classroom instruction to meet the needs of all students. It is important to engage students in their learning and by having these hands-on materials, students will be able to creatively learn letter sounds and decoding strategies. Students will be given opportunities to complete tasks that will enhance students' learning. For example, alphabet stamps will help students develop knowledge about letters and letter sounds. Magna Doodles will help students to write in a creative way. The Hangman game will help students learn to spell simple words. The word construction will help students with fine motor skills and spell simple words.
By donating to this project, students will enjoy and develop a love for learning by using the method of hands-on learning.
As a kindergarten teacher, it is important to keep students focused and engaged in their learning and these materials will help accomplish that goal.
