Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a classroom of sweet kindergartners who come to school each day ready and eager to learn. It is so incredibly rewarding to see their growth from August to May every year. My students come from a low socio-economic background. For most of them, kindergarten is their first school experience.
Each child has an amazingly unique background, personality and way that they learn.
With that being said, I am constantly looking for ways to differentiate instruction in my classroom to ensure my students' success.
My Project
My kindergartners will greatly benefit from these new hands-on centers and activities to enhance their learning. These centers will be year long centers in my classroom that students will enjoy.
The building and magnetic sets will allow them to express their creativity during math centers.
Kindergartners love building and creating things. As their teacher, I love giving them the opportunity to do so! I am excited to see the amazing things that they create using the blocks and magnetic sets. The number rocket ships and puzzles will encourage them to work together as a group and use critical thinking skills. The story wands will get them excited about reading and responding to stories!
