The students at my school are some of the most diverse that I have ever taught. I have students in my class from Germany, Argentina, South Africa, Japan, China, Turkey, England, and Iran. For many of my students, English is not their first language. That being said, they are so smart and capable and learn new things every day.
My kids are a sweet, fun, and active bunch, and it is exciting to be a part of their first school experience.
Every day is an adventure, and I love it.
Our school has the most amazing and supportive families and staff. It really is a special place to come to work every day.
My Project
My kids LOVE to build and create with each other. I have one set of Playstix in my classroom, and it is such a huge hit. I would love for more kids to be able to create with them at one time. I would also like to add to my LEGO and small animal collection, as these are toys that are always a desired activity. The Geostix and Creature Creator would be a lot of fun for my students to play with, too.
In kindergarten, working together is such an important life skill, and these materials are an excellent way to promote that.
