Do you remember what it was like to be a kid in school and create beautiful works of art? Me too, in fact it was my favorite part of school! As budgets tighten, our supplies for creative activities are being minimized as well.
My students are excited to learn, experience and create!
I want to be able to give them every opportunity to grow as a person and express themselves in whatever way they do best. They come from diverse cultures, economics and families. Many will not have these opportunities outside the school setting.
My Project
By using paints, glitter and other materials in these art kits my students will be able to participate in lessons that integrate art, community building and character education, with an emphasis on bullying.
Making each lesson more powerful to the student by adding creative learning my students will be able to demonstrate the skills they are learning without the use of work sheets making school so much more fun and exciting!
They will get to be arty using art kits that span over several holidays and integrate both writing and art. My students love lessons that keep their hearts and their minds eager to learn.
With these materials my students will have the opportunity be creative and participate in activities promote a positive classroom environment and foster a community of learners who do not bully.
