When each of my kiddos go home at the end of the day, including me, we all go home to a different neighborhood, a different house, a different family, and a different lifestyle. But when we gather in our cozy classroom, we are all there for the same reason: to learn. All 30 of my bright-eyed students come eager to ask questions and learn!
I am eager to provide the fun, hands-on manipulatives and resources they need to succeed each day.
My students thrive on having something other than paper and pencil to work with. These kids deserve the best materials to use as they learn.
My Project
By having these awesome art tools, I feel like it would enhance the students creativity! The various patterned scissors would add a neat touch to their work as well as the fun hole punches! The rubber stamps would allow them to create artwork with words thus incorporating literacy into their art! The stand clip board will allow an example to be on display for the students to use as a guide. We currently have to let our artwork dry on top of various center shelving and it creates quite of bit of clutter around the room. I would love to have the organizer to allow students a specific spot for special artwork to dry without being open for all to touch.
Art is such an important part of our day; the children need to have a space with all of the tools they need to create something they are proud of!
Many of these tools require a child to use their best fine motor skills, which is such an important development at this age! The hole punches, scissors and stamping provide new ways the child can use their fine motor skills.
Having these available in our art center would certainly enhance their love for being imagination and creative in their work!
