My students are wonderful and love celebrating the every day successes of being in school. My students have a wide variety of needs including, but not limited to learning disabilities, cognitive impairments, and social/emotional needs. We work daily on reading, writing, mathematics, building friendships, coping with stressful situations, and much more.
Although my students face challenges daily, academically, socially, and emotionally they do not shy from the difficulties, but embrace every opportunity to learn and grow.
As a resource room teacher, I teach all grades and academics Kindergarten through Fourth Grade throughout the day. My students focus primarily on reading, writing, and math as they are all two or more years below grade level in these areas. My students work so hard to be their very best and to be a functioning member in our school community.
My Project
To make a learning space as personal as possible is important for student learning. To make student's learning tools personal is fun and exciting. Students take pride in the things they use to learn.
I would love for them to be able to create and design their own book boxes, math toolboxes, game organizers, and personal learning folders that represent who they are as independent learners.
Students will be able to design and print on the Cricut. They will then transfer what they have created onto their learning tools and enjoy! They will have their personalized learning space! A Cricut will allow for me, as well, to create an inspired learning space in our classroom that inspires and motivates.
